Oklahoma Baptist University

I'm not happy with the changes OBU is bringing to the campus. What's the point of adding more sports teams and paying for scholarships when other students are having to transfer because OBU won't offer them scholarships to keep them there. Is having more sports teams going to keep the transferring non-athlete student? Why do we need a football team when we've been fine without one for so long? Isn't this just going to bring the cost of tuition up even more? Do we have the room and finances for a varsity swim team? What about the departments who are not able to give their student workers enough hours because their budget can't afford it? Oklahoma Baptist University has a pretty campus on the outside, but what about the mess on the inside? Buildings that need desperate repair (Ford Music Hall, Agee Dormitory, Shawnee Hall), classrooms that come with wasp spray because the infestation is so bad, and the room damages that students are charged for even if they didn't do the damage are all examples of maintenance that needs to be performed before the addition of new high-cost sports teams. The pool for example: it is now having renovations done on it for the addition of the new swim teams. It has maintenance issues and the pictures of the drained pool look disgusting. Why is OBU just now addressing these issues?

These are some of the questions I have.
