Smartmusic

I love the idea, but the 25+20 dollar cover price is deceiving. SmartMusic requires a very up-to-date computer and those of us running on a 2 or 3 year computer can't run this program. The program looks very cool, but the cost of a new computer altogether is enough to put a black spot on it. I want this program bad and I need it for school(shich sucks because I will be a a total disadvantage from it) because to send in our audition music, it has to be on smartmusic. I don't like this idea anymore.

If you're after a cool program for music practice, try out StarPlay. It's free to download, to use with any Sibelius or Scorch file you own (or find on the web) and if you're interested in buying any of the pieces available - the price ranges from $0.99 to $2.99.

The software has video (of the soloist, band and conductor) and awesome feedback during and immediately after you play each note.

Unfortunately it can't help you out with submitting your audition on smartmusic :(

That isn't a good situation. I hope the school will eventually realize the dilemia and perhaps that could be another way to obtain the program (maybe a friend can get it and you use it?). I do know what it feels like though to want a program and not have the means to get it and use it. Hope everything will work out for you. :)

Dad actually did research and found out all we need is memory and that will make our computer run like a jet plane! So we can get smartmusic now!
