I just love December. It is so cold, but the cold is just fun. You can get miserably hot after you have just about no clothes on, but with the cold crispness outside you can put layers on. I just love the cold.
Christmas is obviously the best part about December. Althought Christmas has become commercial and not about the true meaning...JESUS!!!!!!
I love December. I also love the traditions and starting new ones. Like normally we get out our artificial tree held together by ducktape. This year we are getting a real one! I have no idea what it will be like. It will be fun though!
Do you have any traditions? Wish to share? please do!!!!

Hiya!!
December is always so nice, I agree. There are certain bonuses to it being cold. I especially love the fire burning in the chimney, warming up the whole house. And, as we learn from Supernatural, layers are a good thing. ;-)
Any traditions? Well, I know we always put out the Christmas tree after Thanksgiving. We have an artificial one. We haven't had a real one for a long time, probably since I was about eight maybe. And every time school is over for Christmas break, my brothers and I get really addicted to TV and we start watching more shows than we usually do, which is a fair amount in my opinion. We always open our presents on Christmas morning, practically at the crack of dawn. Then have a fancy lunch afterwards with turkey, ham and other items. And apple cider! I love my apple cider.
Oh, can't forget. Every year, a couple of days before Christmas, my Mom and I make a bunch of Buckeyes. It's a small ball of sugarified peanut butter dipped in liquified white chocolate, which eventually hardens up. For me, that is the best thing about Christmas, having those Buckeyes with my family. Next to Jesus, of course!!! Jesus is certainly the true meaning of Christmas.
Not many other traditions come to mind, but we always try to enjoy the time we have together as a family. We used to go to my grandparents, but not anymore. We're starting to do our thing, setting our own traditions. So, I'm sure the new ones are in the making and that's probably why I don't remember much others.
Have fun with your real Christmas tree. It certainly is a different experience than the artificial. I know it smells better. :-)
Later...
